Have No Fear!

I am hoping this finds you all well and in good spirits this week? I wanted to start off by telling you that Good things are about to happen. I am excited in my spirit and I know that God is on the move. I know that many of you have been discouraged by the economy, with gas prices and food prices going up its hard not to. Not to mention people have been laid off work or just not able to find a job in general. I know this really should sound depressing but it doesn’t have to be. Or at least not for the children of God.

You see we as His children are to live in the world but not be of the world. Which means we do not live by the world’s standards. God is our supplier he is our source. We need only to trust in Him and He will take care of us. So then why do we worry so much about what is going on with the raging gas prices and the economy in general?  Human nature I guess.

Well truth be told we need to cast off that old man and get with the new man that is in us. The one that excepted Christ is the one that should be living through us. The Christ like nature that has boldness and has no fear. The Christ like nature that has no worries or cares but is all about doing the Fathers business.

The enemy has been tormenting us with fear for years and we have allowed it, we have accepted it as truth. You see the enemy gives us just enough truth to make it real to us. But we need to be reminded that God does not give us a spirit of fear. ****Be reminded that God has always taken care of you and He will continue to do so as long as you continue to have faith that He will.

You see for without faith it is impossible to please Him. There is no bill that He cant pay there is not debt that He cannot wipe away There is no sickness that He cannot heal or family that He cannot restore. I know you may feel that you are not worthy and maybe you don’t deserve the things God has for you, maybe you have stepped away from God for awhile.

But know that God still has great plans for you. He still has a purpose and a plan for your life. If you will let Him He will take you beyond your wildest imagination. He will surpass anything you could ever imagine for yourself. That includes right now, in the midst of our economy, in the midst of the worlds chaos. Yes our God is bigger than all of it. If you will trust Him He will make a way where there seems to be no way, He will give you rest and peace that surpasses all understanding.

I pray blessings over you this week. Be blessed and be Encouraged.

Calling To The Wise

I’m hoping you have had a blessed week so far. This week I want to talk about something that I don’t think I have addressed before. As with every weekly article, I asked the Lord what He wanted His people to know. And I woke up with this on my heart, so I want you to know that this article is for now. “For such a time as this.”

It is one that I hope will bring encouragement and lift your soul. This article is geared for those 50 yrs old and older. I want to start by telling you that God is Not finished with you!! I am receiving revelation about what to say even as I am writing.

Greater things will you do now than you have done, in your past. I feel that many of you have been in a place of uncertainty and wondering ‘What Now.’ My friends God has not left you and He is not finished with you. God is calling you out today.

He is saying,

“My children, can you not hear, can you not see, do you not know that I am the Almighty God who can do anything? Your eyes and ears have not been shut. Oh ye of little faith, where is you child like faith, where is your expectancy? Have I not brought you this far? More will I do in the days ahead. More will I pour out upon you, if you will only allow me in. Forget your past and rest in me. I am the Lord your God and It is I who have chosen you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. I have come to give you life and to give it to you more abundantly. Do not relive your glory days. Am I not God? I am not done with you and greater things will you do in this hour my child, if only you will trust and believe.” Thank you Father!!

You see many of you have felt like God is done with you because of your age. Far from it my friends. The body of Christ needs you more than ever! Many of the new churches today would be doing so much better if only they had the wisdom from the elders. But yet many of them are full of baby Christians. But they need spiritual mothers and fathers. People just like you to impart the wisdom and experiences you have.

Wow, the awesome things we could learn from you, if only you would step out and believe in yourself. Believe that word today and know that God is not finished with you. I also feel that for many of you, God is calling you out of your church homes. He wants to move you. He is causing a stirring in your spirit. You know what it is yet you have ignored Him.

God is asking more of you today. Are you willing to step out of your comfort zone? Are you willing to walk away from your religious routine? God is requiring more of you. Answer Him today, say “Yes Lord I will go where you want me to go and I will do what you want me to do and I will say what you would have me to say.”

Surely you know if God is asking more, it is because He loves you and wants to bless you and others. Friends listen to your heart today and I know that God will show you what you are to do. I love you all, Be blessed and be encouraged. Greater days lie ahead.–Be Blessed

Obituary; Common Sense

I ran across this the other day and felt I needed to pass it along. It is profound. What has happened to the simpler times? What has happened that we have become so busy? So serious and so rigid? When did our morality meter get thrown out the window? God help us!!–

My parents told me about Mr. Common Sense early in my life and told me I would do well to call on him when making decisions. It seems he was always around in my early years but less and less as time passed by. Today I read his obituary. Please join me for a moment of silence in remembrance. For Common Sense had served us all so well for so many generations.

Obituary -Common Sense-

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, life isn’t always fair, and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not children are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.

Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they themselves failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Aspirin, sun lotion or a sticky plaster to a student; but could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t legally defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar can sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by three step brothers; I Know my Rights, Someone Else is to Blame, and I’m a Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

In sadness all I can say is God help us because this is the day in which we live.
